Introduced in the mid-1980s, cabin air filters are installed in the vehicle’s
HVAC system. Today, many North American car manufacturers offer cabin air
filters as standard equipment on cars and light trucks. Automotive industry
studies project 90% of all North American cars and light trucks will have a
cabin air filter as standard equipment within 2 – 3 years.
As the vehicle moves down the road, air is forced into its ventilation system.
This air can contain pollutants: smog, pollen, other odors or emissions. The
cabin air filter is designed to remove these harmful elements by filtering them
out before they enter the cabin compartment, protecting passengers and reducing
malfunctions of the vehicle’s HVAC system.
GKI cabin air filters are manufactured to strict quality standards. Design
specifications are maintained through extensive testing and inspection
programs. Our in-house quality system & comprehensive product warranty
ensure consistent product performance.
Cabin air filters should be changed approximately every 12 months or 15,000
miles, to provide peak filtration efficiency and comply with the manufacturer’s
warranty.
